Product Info

Mt. Nokogiri is known as a famous low mountain on the Boso Peninsula. Its jagged ridgeline resembles the teeth of a saw, and the abandoned quarries, where Boshu stone was extracted until the Showa era, look like ruins, creating a popular otherworldly space within nature.
On this tour, you will walk through the town of Kanaya, which flourished due to the stone-cutting industry, and hike up the Sharikido path where the cut stones were once transported, accompanied by a guide. While enjoying a hike with elevation changes despite its low altitude, you will feel the breath of the craftsmen of that time and trace the history of how Boshu stone supported Japan's modernization and declined with the passage of time.

Spectacular views of Mt. Fuji and Tokyo Bay from the observation deck!
You can overlook Tokyo Bay from the observation deck, and if the weather is clear, you can see the Miura Peninsula on the opposite shore and Mt. Fuji.

Understand the historical background thoroughly with the guide's explanations!
You might see piles of stones along the course, rusted machinery left behind, or characters carved into the rock face—what could they be? Since you have a guide, you can ask various questions about things you wouldn't understand just by passing by!

Plenty of photo spots!
Mt. Nokogiri has many photo spots, such as the famous Jigoku Nozoki (Hell Peek). By going with a guide, they can also help you take photos!
