Opened in 1978, the Japan Automobile Museum is the first automobile museum in Japan. The museum collects various cars commonly seen in Japan and abroad during the 20th century. Out of a total of approximately 800 vehicles, about 500 are on permanent display! The museum is divided into several zones by manufacturer and type, including a wide variety of old Japanese commercial vehicles and popular cars. Here, you can see cars and sports cars from all over the world, as well as rare vehicles that can only be seen here, helping you understand the history of Japan's post-war reconstruction as cars became more widespread.
