・Nagaoka Fireworks Festival

The Nagaoka Fireworks Festival is one of Japan's three major fireworks displays, with a long history dating back to the early 20th century. Since 1951, it has been held annually on August 2nd and 3rd to commemorate those who lost their lives in the Nagaoka air raid on August 1, 1945, and to pray for the city's post-war reconstruction. Held along the banks of the Shinano River, the festival begins with the white 'White Chrysanthemum' fireworks, a tribute to the souls lost in the air raid. The most famous feature of the Nagaoka Fireworks Festival is the massive 'Sanshakudama,' which reaches a diameter of 650 meters when it bursts in the sky—the largest size currently permitted for fireworks! Additionally, the 'Niagara' fireworks, which explode rapidly and densely like a waterfall, create a spectacular, magnificent bridge of light across the night sky, leaving an unforgettable impression. Finally, the 'Phoenix' fireworks, a symbol of reconstruction, are launched simultaneously from six locations, blooming in the sky like a spreading phoenix. The sight is so breathtaking that spectators are left speechless, completely immersed in the magnificent space created by the fireworks!

* Upon arrival near the venue, the tour guide will lead you to your designated seats.

* You are free to explore before the fireworks festival begins, and you may visit the nearby night market area to purchase local delicacies.

* The fireworks festival will be very crowded; please be sure to keep your valuables with you at all times.

* We have arranged table and chair seating in Venue B or front-row group seating for you. Please be aware that the seating location is assigned by our company.

【Important Notes for Attending the Fireworks Festival】

If this is your first time attending a Japanese fireworks festival, please refer to the following suggestions:

* The festival is held in summer, and there is free time before the start; we recommend taking appropriate sun protection measures.

* The festival is held by the river and involves walking on grassy areas; please bring insect repellent.

* Although there are trash cans in the venue, the event is very crowded every year, so please be sure to bring your own trash bags, tissues, and wet wipes.

* The festival continues into the night, and lighting in the venue may be insufficient; please bring a flashlight or other lighting equipment just in case.

* Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes that are easy to move in on the day of the festival.

* Although plastic mats will be laid out on the ground at the fireworks venue, they may not be very comfortable to sit on; you may bring your own seat cushion if needed.

* Please note that folding chairs, portable chairs, tripods, and similar items are strictly prohibited inside the venue.

* Umbrellas are prohibited inside the venue. We recommend bringing a lightweight raincoat in case of sudden weather changes.

* The venue will be crowded with hundreds of thousands of people on the day of the festival, and it is highly likely that mobile network services will be unavailable. We appreciate your understanding.

* Once everyone has gathered, the bus will depart for the hotel. Arrival time is approximately 0:30-1:30 the next day, though this may be significantly delayed due to road conditions.

・Karuizawa Ginza Street

Karuizawa Ginza Street is the most historic shopping street in the Karuizawa area. In addition to several unique churches such as St. Paul's Catholic Church and the Karuizawa Shaw Memorial Chapel, the street is filled with various shops offering miscellaneous goods and souvenirs, including jams, miso, beer, tea, Western-style sweets, pastries, and breads. It is a must-visit destination!

・Shorinzan Daruma-ji Temple

Daruma-ji is a Zen temple of the Obaku school located in Takasaki City, Gunma Prefecture, situated on the northern slope of the Hanadaka Hills. Its mountain name is Shorinzan. The temple is considered the birthplace of the 'Good Luck Daruma' and is particularly famous for the annual 'Shorinzan Nanakusa Taisai Daruma Market (Takasaki Daruma Market).' Furthermore, this temple served as the setting for the script 'The German at Daruma-ji Temple,' written by Akira Kurosawa during his time as an assistant director.
