  • Jinshan Sulphur Fire Season (Beng Huo Zai):
    "Bang fire fishing" refers to the traditional Taiwanese fishing method of using light sources at night to catch fish, named for the "bang" sound produced when creating the flames. Locally known as "fuzzy boat" in Jinshan, it is the world's only sulfur-fired fishing method. This technique was registered as a cultural asset of New Taipei City in 2015, and currently only one boat in Taiwan, the Fuji 268, located in Huanggang Fishing Port in Jinshan District, New Taipei City, is dedicated to preserving this culture. Furthermore, in recent years, the Ministry of Education's curriculum has placed great emphasis on marine culture education, making this a suitable place to bring children to experience the unique history of the fishing village and outdoor education. Our guided tour will not only introduce the origins and operation of bang fire fishing but also provide explanations about fish species and how to eat them. Let's embark on a unique fishing journey along the ancient fishing trails!
