— What You Can Expect —

Hop aboard a comfortable, carbon-neutral bus and set off from Reykjavik under the guidance of expert aurora hunters — venturing away from city lights to the best vantage points to witness the beautiful Northern Lights. This awe-inspiring phenomenon happens from late August to April every year.

Witness the sky as it is painted in various colors! Marvel at the surreal, oval-shaped halo hanging above you. Don't worry if you don’t see the Aurora Borealis on your first try, you may participate at a later date. Don't miss the chance to experience Iceland’s nocturnal rainbow with this Northern Lights tour!

  • According to the Reykjavik City law, buses can only stop at listed accommodation and bus stops. Please board your shuttle at the bus stop nearest to your accommodations

  • A minimum of 4 traveler(s) are required for the tour to depart. If the number of participants does not reach the minimum requirement, the tour will be canceled. An email regarding tour cancellation will be sent 3 day(s) before the departure date

  • In case of delays caused by traffic, weather, or other force majeure factors resulting in the cancellation of some itinerary attractions, please contact customer service. We will arrange a partial refund for you

  • Northern Lights sightings are dependent on weather conditions; optimal viewing is not guaranteed. If you do not see any lights on the tour, you may participate again on another date. Please inquire with your tour guide for more information

  • Please wear warm clothing

  • Please arrive at the pick-up point least 30 minutes prior to the pick-up time

  • Actual itinerary is dependent on weather and transportation conditions

  • Travelers will transfer from the hotel shuttle to the tour bus at the BSÍ Bus Terminal

  • Return time is dependent on road and weather conditions

  • Tour may be canceled in the event of snowstorms, cyclones, or unexpected weather conditions. You will be informed the day before departure by email; you may choose to reschedule for free or refund your tour

  • Minimum participant age: 6 years old

  • Once you have joined a departure, the tour is non-refundable regardless of whether the Northern Lights are visible

  • Iceland's winter paths can be icy; crampons are recommended and are available at BSÍ Bus Station

  • Recommended clothing: thermal layers, warm cap, gloves, warm socks, waterproof jacket, and sturdy shoes

  • Recommended items: camera or smartphone with camera; tripod optional

  • This is a hunting tour — for the best chance of seeing the aurora, the itinerary heads away from populated areas. Modern facilities including conventional restrooms may not be available along the route

  • This tour operates on large touring coaches. For a smaller-group experience, please look for our Small Group Northern Lights Tour option

  • Rebooked tickets are non-transferable — only the original booking holder may use a rebooked date

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations 1 day(s) (inclusive) before the selected date are allowed. Unused orders can be canceled for free
  • Cancellation is not allowed between 0–0 days from the selected date. Orders cannot be canceled or modified, and refunds will not be granted.
NOTE
  • Due to time zone differences, the confirmed cancellation date is based on the supplier’s local time. Please allow 2–5 business days to process your cancellation request, after which the cancellation fee will be charged according to the product’s cancellation policy. Once your refund request is confirmed, KKday will initiate the refund to your original payment method within 15 days. The actual refund timing depends on your card-issuing bank’s policy.
