Product Info
Located in Bali District, New Taipei City, the Shihsanhang Museum of Archaeology opened in 2003 to protect the 'Shihsanhang Site,' a national second-grade historic monument. Designed by architect Sun Te-hung, the museum's concept is inspired by archaeological excavations and the ancestors who crossed the sea to Taiwan. The museum features permanent exhibitions of important artifacts unearthed from the site, as well as special exhibition halls, providing detailed introductions to the history and background of Taiwan's past, including the Shihsanhang and Yuanshan cultures.

Rental Procedure: Please present a valid ID (National ID card, driver's license, health insurance card, passport, etc.) or a deposit of NT$500 per device to rent an audio guide pen and map. Please return the equipment before the museum closes on the same day to retrieve your ID or deposit.
The Shisanhang Site preserves Taiwan’s prehistoric Iron Age culture from 1800 to 500 years ago. According to archaeological experts’ research, its race may be related to the Ketagalan tribe in the Pingpu tribe. The museum preserves and displays the relics of the ancestors, let us know what kind of life the thirteen pedestrians lived thousands of years ago, and hopes to introduce the precious prehistoric sites to all tourists.

The museum is closed on the first Monday of each month. If the Monday falls on a national holiday, the museum will remain open as usual and close the following day.
Lunar New Year's Eve, Lunar New Year's Day, and days designated by the government as days when work is suspended due to natural disasters.
