From Chiclayo: National Museum of Sicán and Pyramids of Túcume｜Peru

Delve into the pre-Hispanic history of northern Peru on an excursion from Chiclayo that brings together two of the most representative places of the Sicán culture and the archaeological complex of Túcume.

The tour begins in the city of Ferreñafe with a visit to the National Museum of Sicán, where valuable archaeological pieces recovered from the Bosque de Pómac Historical Sanctuary are on display. During the tour, you'll see ceremonial objects, masks, ornaments, and metals worked in gold, silver, and tumbaga, as well as the famous tomb of an important figure belonging to the Sicán culture.

Later, you'll continue to the archaeological complex of Túcume, renowned for hosting one of the largest sets of adobe pyramids in South America. Accompanied by the tour guide, you'll explore part of the site to learn about the function of its ancient buildings, its importance in the development of pre-Hispanic cultures, and the landscape surrounding this emblematic valley.

During the visit, you'll also enjoy panoramic views of the complex and learn how this place became one of the main ceremonial and administrative centers of ancient northern Peru.
