Start your private countryside experience from the Traces of Crete office in Mavros Molos, Kissamos. Travel through the villages and natural landscapes of western Crete on a relaxed 6-hour route designed for travelers who want to discover the authentic side of the island.

Your first stop is Potamida Village, where you’ll visit the impressive Komolithi geological formations, a unique natural landmark shaped by time and erosion. Continue to Agia Sofia Cave, a natural and historical site with impressive stalactites and a peaceful mountain setting.

Next, visit Limni Village and stop by the scenic village lake while discovering the quieter character of rural Crete. Continue with a stop at a traditional kafeneio, where you’ll enjoy iced lemonade in an authentic local atmosphere.

After the café stop, visit a photography exhibition by a local photographer and get a closer look at the people, landscapes, and everyday life of the region through a local artistic perspective.

The experience continues to Milia Mountain Settlement, a peaceful place surrounded by nature, where you’ll enjoy a traditional Cretan meal. After lunch, return to Kissamos with a deeper connection to the villages, landscapes, and traditions of western Crete.
