Chania: Night Scuba Dive for Certified Divers｜Greece

Discover a completely different side of scuba diving in Chania on a guided night dive at Koutalas, our protected shore diving site near Almyrida. Designed for certified divers, this experience gives you the chance to explore the Mediterranean after sunset, when familiar surroundings take on an entirely different atmosphere.

Your experience begins at our PADI Dive Centre in Almyrida, where you'll meet your instructor, prepare your equipment and receive a full night-diving briefing. We'll cover everything you need for the dive, including communication, torch use, entry and exit procedures, and what to expect underwater after dark.

We'll then travel together to Koutalas and enter the water from the shore. Once underwater, follow your instructor and explore the bay by torchlight as nocturnal marine life becomes active. Species and encounters vary naturally, making every night dive different.

On darker nights, you may also have the chance to experience bioluminescence. At the right moment, switching off the torches can reveal tiny flashes of light in the water around you.

The dive is adapted to the experience and certification level of the group, with a strong focus on relaxed, enjoyable diving. All necessary scuba equipment and a dive torch are provided, so you can simply arrive ready to discover Koutalas after dark.

After the dive, we'll return together to the dive centre in Almyrida, where the experience finishes.
