For more than 260 years, Maison Fossier has maintained a unique expertise recognized even by the royal courts. In 1775, its biscuits were present at the Coronation of Louis XVI in Reims, and the biscuit factory became the king's supplier.

The Biscuit rose: a legend born out of a happy coincidence
Around 1690, bakers in Champagne created a recipe to take advantage of the heat of the bread oven after baking: the "bis-cuit" (baked twice) of Reims was born!

The characteristic pink color comes from an accident: to hide the brown marks left by the vanilla, the baker added a natural dye made from cochineal.

Since then, the recipe has remained unchanged, as has the double-baking method.

Label of excellence: Maison Fossier was awarded the "Living Heritage Company" label in 2006, recognizing its exceptional know-how.

Champagne tradition: The Biscuit Rose is traditionally enjoyed dipped in champagne or red wine.

Photography permitted: Capture your gourmet tour!

Gift idea: The factory outlet offers many gourmet boxes and arrangements that are perfect as gifts.
