Product Info

This is not a group tour with a private add-on — it's private by design, just for you and your party, from start to finish, at your own pace.
Your journey begins at the legendary Rialto Market, but not the version most visitors see. Your Venice-born guide takes you past the postcard stalls and into the market's working corners — the ones locals actually shop at — explaining centuries-old culinary traditions along the way, including the story of the prized purple artichokes of Sant'Erasmo.

Step inside the historic Pescaria (fish market) to see where Venetian chefs still source their daily catch, just as their grandparents did.

From the market, you'll head into the narrow backstreets of San Polo — deliberately avoiding the main tourist routes near the Rialto Bridge — to reach 3 handpicked bacari that most tour groups never find. These are wood-paneled, family-run wine bars where Venetians still stop for their daily ombra, not stops on a checklist.

Along the way, open your appetite with a Venetian Spritz made your way — Aperol, Select, or Campari, your choice — paired with traditional small bites.
The tour builds toward a signature closing feast, curated by your guide: creamy baccalà mantecato (whipped cod), tender folpetti (marinated baby octopus), and a warm, indulgent mozzarella in carrozza, paired with regional Veneto wines.
This is Venice as locals experience it — unhurried, personal, and off the well-worn tourist path.
