Product Info

First we will walk along the picturesque Canal Grande and you will discover the history of the palaces and churches that surround it. After that we will see one of the largest synagogues in Europe and I will introduce you to the special coffee culture of Trieste in a historical bar Antico Caffè San Marco.

I will take you through the winding streets of the ancient ghetto and show you the amazingly well-preserved Roman theater. From this point we will go to the San Giusto hill on foot or by lift (as you prefer), where we will see the remains of the Roman forum and the Cathedral of San Giusto with its splendid mosaics.

On the San Giusto hill we will also visit the lapidarium with Roman antiquities and the tomb of the father of art history, Johann Winckelmann. After going down towards the old town passing by the ancient Arco di Riccardo we will come to the solemn ensemble of the Piazza Unità d'Italia, the largest square overlooking the sea in Europe.

At the end of our walk we will stroll along the embankment, enjoy the panorama of the hills and, if desired, visit the Italian food court Eataly pausing over a glass of wine or aperitivo.
