Imagine starting your tour among the colors of the Salt Pans of Trapani, where the white of the salt meets the warm shades of the sunset. After meeting in Trapani, we will take you to the Saline Natural Reserve along scenic roads lined with sparkling ponds and ancient windmills. Here you will begin a pleasant walk among salt mounds and canals, immersed in the centuries-old history of the extraction of "white gold" and the life of the salt workers, past and present.
Continuing along the evocative "Via dei Fenicotteri", we will look for pink flamingos, egrets and other species that inhabit the salt pans, with time dedicated to photography and birdwatching. Depending on the weather and the season, the late afternoon light will create spectacular reflections on the ponds, ideal for those who love photography and landscapes.
The next stop will be the Salt Museum, housed in a restored old mill. Here you will discover the traditional tools, the workings of the wheels and canals, and the entire sea salt production cycle, from the filling of the pans to the final harvest.
INCLUDED IN THE TOUR -> the guided visit to the Salt Pans of Nubia and the Salt Museum will be conducted in Italian and English.
At the end of the visit, we will reach a panoramic viewpoint chosen to experience the most exciting moment of the tour: the sunset over the salt pans. Here you can take your own photos, walk independently, or simply sit and admire the sky as it turns vibrant colors behind the mills and the Egadi Islands on the horizon.
The entire activity is designed to be relaxing, accessible, and suitable for couples, families, and anyone who wants to experience Trapani beyond the historic old town, amidst nature, tradition, and photography.
DURING THE TRIP, AN AUDIO GUIDE WILL BE AVAILABLE IN ITALIAN AND ENGLISH THAT WILL EXPLAIN ALL THE SECRETS OF THESE EVOCATIVE PLACES.
