Product Info

Leave the city behind and experience the northern wilderness on a guided half-day hike to Cameron Falls, one of the Northwest Territories’ most rewarding waterfall destinations. With round-trip hotel pickup in Yellowknife included, you can enjoy the journey without worrying about transportation, trail navigation, or planning the details yourself.

Meet your guide in your hotel lobby, then travel along the scenic Ingraham Trail. This well-known route passes through boreal forest and across the rugged rock formations of the Canadian Shield, offering a beautiful introduction to the landscape beyond Yellowknife.

At the trailhead, begin a guided hike of approximately 2.7 kilometres. The moderately challenging trail includes rocky and uneven sections with gentle inclines, so a reasonable level of fitness is recommended. The group moves at a comfortable pace, with opportunities to stop for photographs, enjoy the scenery, and learn about the surrounding environment.

Walk through boreal forest and across ancient rock while keeping watch for northern birds and wildlife. Depending on the season and conditions, you may see species such as gray jays, also known as whisky jacks, ptarmigan, and spruce grouse.

The trail leads to the highlight of the experience: the impressive 17-metre Cameron Falls. Take time to photograph the waterfall, listen to the rushing water, and enjoy the peaceful northern surroundings before beginning the return hike.

Bottled water, light snacks, bug spray, and bear-safety equipment are provided for your comfort and peace of mind. Your guide will also take a group photo to help you remember the experience.

After returning to the trailhead, relax on the drive back to your Yellowknife hotel.
