Product Info

On this small-group walking tour through Old Montréal, a certified local guide leads you into the darker chapters of the city's real history. These are factual, well-researched stories, not legends, ghost stories, or theatrical scares.

You'll hear about crime and punishment, epidemics and the forgotten dead, scandal, injustice, and the notorious figures and events that most visitors never learn about. The walking route stays within Old Montréal, but the stories reach across the wider history of the city, revealing a far more complex side of Montréal's past.

This tour is made for curious adults who want something darker than a standard sightseeing walk. Expect strong storytelling, atmospheric streets, and real historical context, delivered in the intimate small-group style MTL Detours is known for.

To be clear: this is not a ghost tour. It is a true-history walking tour about Montréal's darker side, led by a certified local guide from a trusted, top-rated Montréal company.

Adults only. Minimum age 18, no exceptions.
