A visit to Auschwitz-Birkenau is a specific encounter with the history of Nazi cruelty and the fate of the victims of the Holocaust. On this full-day tour from Krakow (about 8 hours total), you visit the two most important parts of the memorial, with a skip-the-line ticket: Auschwitz I, the administrative centre, and Auschwitz II-Birkenau, the extermination camp.

An experienced official museum guide accompanies you through the 3.5-hour guided tour: about 2 hours at Auschwitz I, with its original camp buildings and the permanent exhibition of prisoners' personal belongings, followed by about an hour at Birkenau, with the most important sites, including the gas chambers and crematories. The museum visit includes short breaks before, after and between the two parts; the pace depends on visitor numbers and is set by the official museum guide.

There are two different option types: Guaranteed Tickets, a confirmed visiting time slot already approved by the Museum, and the Waitlist — an unconfirmed visit with no set visiting time, subject to the Museum's approval or rejection.

Good to know: your skip-the-line ticket bypasses the ticket queue, but the standard security check applies to all visitors and is not skipped. Expect around 5 km of walking, mostly outdoors. No lunch break is included, and the camp is on extensive open space — please dress for the weather. We ask that you maintain due respect for the memory of the victims.

Built in 1940, Auschwitz-Birkenau was the largest concentration camp operated by the Nazis. Before the liberation of Auschwitz on January 27, 1945, the SS attempted to destroy the camp and burn the archives. The Polish government restored Auschwitz–Birkenau as a moving memorial to the victims.
