Product Info

Most people don't expect Poland to make wine. That's usually the best part of the visit.

Winnica Jura is a family-run, EU-certified organic vineyard on the limestone hills of the Polish Jura, about 30 minutes west of Kraków's Old Town. Your visit starts among the vines, where you'll hear how we grow grapes without chemicals in a cold climate, why varieties like Solaris and Johanniter suit this soil, and how these hills shape what ends up in the bottle.

From there you step inside the working winery — press, tanks and oak barrels — and see how the wine is actually made, not a museum version of it.

The tasting takes place in our glass-walled room looking straight down the rows: five organic wines from white through sparkling to red, served with a board of cheese, fresh bread and water drawn from our own deep well. Your host stays with you throughout, so ask whatever you like — we'd rather have an honest conversation about what's in the glass than recite tasting notes.

The room is glazed and climate-controlled, so rain, snow or summer heat make no difference. And if the weather turns while we're outside, we simply move the walk into the production hall, among the barrels.
