Discover Longyearbyen in an active and immersive way on an e-bike tour that combines easy cycling, local history, culture, and spectacular Arctic scenery.
The electric assistance makes it possible to explore more of the town and its surroundings comfortably, while keeping a relaxed pace that allows plenty of time for conversation, photography, and discovering the stories behind this unique settlement.

We will come to pick you up from your hotel with the car, for the cruise passenger we can come to the harbor select in the menu location, or write a message to inform us.

Starting from the town center, you cycle through colorful residential neighborhoods and local housing areas, gaining insight into everyday life in one of the world’s northernmost settlements.
Your historian guide explains how Longyearbyen has evolved from a mining community to a modern Arctic settlement, and how daily life is shaped by permafrost, extreme weather, the polar night, and the midnight sun.

Thanks to the e-bike, the route can include panoramic viewpoints overlooking Adventfjorden and the surrounding mountains, offering excellent photo opportunities and a different perspective of Longyearbyen. Along the way, you pass historic mining infrastructure and heritage sites that reflect the town’s industrial origins and its transformation into a center for research, tourism, and education.

Ride past local shops, cafés, community spaces, and lesser-known areas of town, learning how residents socialize and adapt to life in such a remote environment. Depending on conditions, the route may also follow scenic paths along the river, valley edges, and other accessible local trails.

Throughout the tour, your historian guide brings Longyearbyen’s past and present to life with stories about mining, exploration, local communities, Arctic wildlife, and the challenges of building and maintaining infrastructure at 78° North. You’ll also learn about Svalbard’s unique geopolitical status and how it influences life in the settlement.

The e-bike makes the experience accessible and enjoyable, allowing you to cover more ground without turning the tour into a demanding cycling adventure.
