Leutschach: Brewery tour with beer tasting｜Austria

Experience an enjoyable and informative brewery tour in Leutschach all about hand-brewed, sustainable natural beer – including an insight into hop cultivation and beer production. On this approximately 60-minute tour, you will get to know the brewery's most important beer styles and learn how water, malt, hops and yeast are used to create a beer with character.

To start, you will receive a clear presentation of the types of beer and an introduction to the raw materials used in beer brewing. One focus is on hops from Leutschach: You will learn what makes hops special, what role they play in flavor and shelf life, and why they are so crucial as an "active ingredient" in beer.

Afterwards, the brewing process will be explained step by step – from the basics to production – and you will get an insight into the local brewing culture and its history. Another highlight is the Styrian Hop Museum, which brings the regional connection and the tradition of hop cultivation to life.

At the end, you will enjoy a tasting of 2 natural beers of 0.1 L each. An additional variety is available for an additional fee. For guests under 16 years of age, non-alcoholic beer or natural juices are available on request instead of alcohol. Optionally, food (e.g. pretzels, breadsticks, white sausage, or a mixed platter) can be pre-ordered.
