Follow me as we walk through this this incredible glacial valley, native Irish forest and exotic gardens where I'll discuss the dramatic history of three castle owners, the story of temperate Irish rainforests, native Irish trees, their practical uses and the folklore that surrounds them. Learn about the understory plants that co-exist in this delicately balanced eco-system and the fauna that live amongst them. I'll discuss the peatlands on the surrounding landscape and how it became a vital source of heat and energy in Ireland. The various trails extend to around 1.5km in length and the tour takes approximately 1 hours 30mins including a stroll around the baronial-style Glenveagh castle exterior, exotic, pleasure and kitchen gardens. Here, I'll show you so many scenic spots to take in this sparsely beautiful landscape.
