Your evening begins with pickup from your accommodation in Kiruna. As the town lights gradually disappear behind you, the surrounding landscape becomes darker and quieter with every kilometer.

Arrival at Aurora River Camp
Upon arrival at Aurora River Camp, you change into professional winter clothing provided by us, including thermal overalls, winter boots, hat, and gloves.

Once comfortably dressed for the Arctic environment, you follow your guide along a lantern-lit forest path leading away from roads, buildings, and artificial light.

With every step, the sounds of civilization fade further away as the forest becomes quieter and the darkness deeper.

The Forest Campfire Experience
At the end of the trail, a secluded wilderness campfire awaits among the trees.

Far from traffic and city lights, this hidden forest location becomes your home for the evening.

Gather around the fire beneath Arctic skies while enjoying hot drinks, thermal blankets, warm bread, cheese, and cloudberry jam. Surrounded by untouched forest and complete darkness, this is one of the most peaceful places to spend an evening in Swedish Lapland.

Far above, thousands of stars may become visible across the Arctic sky. On fortunate evenings, the Northern Lights may appear overhead.

Typical Evening Schedule
18:00 – Pickup from your accommodation in Kiruna
18:30 – Arrival at Aurora River Camp
18:30–18:45 – Change into professional winter clothing
18:45–19:00 – Lantern-lit walk into the forest
19:00–21:30 – Campfire experience, stargazing, hot drinks, and snacks
21:30–21:45 – Walk back to Aurora River Camp
21:45–22:00 – Return transfer to Kiruna
