Información del producto

The Trier Baths Tour takes you to the three rediscovered bath complexes from the time of the Roman Augusta Treverorum: the Kaiserthermen (UNESCO World Heritage Site), the Baths at the Viehmarkt, and the Barbarathermen (UNESCO World Heritage Site), whose ruins can still tell us a lot about the everyday life of the Roman population.
The baths were once magnificent buildings that were visited frequently and with pleasure. With the baths tour, you get a look behind the scenes and at the construction of these complex facilities. However, visiting the baths was about more than just bathing; people also met others here to play sports together or to do business. This period is brought back to life through surviving accounts and anecdotes.
On the way between the baths, you can also learn a lot about the water supply in Augusta Treverorum and also about how the Roman population dealt with the topic of health and well-being, because that was often directly linked to a visit to a bath.
