Product Info

Begin your tour in San Sebastián, one of Cuenca’s most traditional neighborhoods and the former eastern boundary of the colonial city. Visit the Museum of Modern Art, where the famous international Biennial takes place every two years.

Continue to San Francisco Square, the flower market, Abdón Calderón Park, and El Sagrario Cathedral, also known as the Old Cathedral. Finally, visit the New Cathedral, considered one of the most important and majestic churches in Ecuador. Admire the beautiful stained-glass windows and the intricate gold-leaf work on the altar.

Next, head to the Homero Ortega Hat Factory, where you will learn more about the famous Panama Hats, traditionally made from toquilla straw.

Then, head toward the modern part of the city, where you will see picturesque areas such as El Barranco, known for its charming hanging houses. Finally, visit Turi, the city’s famous viewpoint, offering panoramic views of Cuenca.
