Day 1 Arrival in Quito
Upon arrival at Mariscal Sucre International Airport, transferred to your hotel in Quito. Your guide will introduce you to the country, its culture, geography, and the unforgettable experiences ahead. Enjoy free time to rest, explore nearby areas at your own pace, and acclimatize to the altitude. Overnight in Quito.
Day 2 | Historic Quito – Middle of the World – Teleferico
After breakfast, explore Quito’s Historic Center. Visit the Basilica, Plaza Grande, the Government Palace, Metropolitan Cathedral, the stunning La Compañía Church covered in gold leaf, and the historic San Francisco Square.
Later, ride the Quito Cable Car (Teleferico) for breathtaking views of the city and surrounding volcanoes. Lunch not included.
Visit the Middle of the World City and the Intiñan Museum. Dinner not included. Overnight in Quito.
Day 3 Otavalo
Travel north through scenic mountain landscapes, stopping in Guayllabamba to taste local chirimoyas. Continue to Miralago Viewpoint for panoramic views of San Pablo Lake tasting the traditional biscuits.
In Otavalo, explore Plaza de los Ponchos.
Visit a local cultural center to see artisans crafting musical instruments, then stop at José Cotacachi’s workshop to observe traditional textile weaving. Visit Cotacachi town and time for lunch (not included)
End at Cuicocha Lake before returning to Quito in the late afternoon. Dinner not included. Overnight in Quito.
Day 4 Cotopaxi & Quilotoa
After breakfast, journey through dramatic Andean landscapes to Cotopaxi National Park, home to one of the highest active volcanoes on Earth. Explore Limpiopungo Lagoon and the Interpretation Center to learn about the region’s unique ecosystems and wildlife.
Continue through the Los Ilinizas Ecological Reserve before arriving at the spectacular Quilotoa Lagoon, a turquoise volcanic crater lake surrounded by traditional highland communities. Lunch not included. Return to Quito. Dinner not included. Overnight in Quito.
Day 5 Mindo
Depart Quito in the morning, after about 1 hour and 45 minutes, arrive at the cloud forest at 2,300 meters, one of Ecuador’s most biodiverse ecosystems.
Stop at the San Tadeo Viewpoint for panoramic views of Mindo and birdwatching (hummingbirds, toucans, tanagers, woodcreepers).
Mindo town to visit the Orchid Garden. Free time for lunch (not included).
Take a cable car ride across the forest canopy and hike an easy trail to the Nambillo Waterfall, where a natural pool invites you for a refreshing swim.
End the day at a cacao farm and museum in the Chocó region, learning about the chocolate-making process and tasting local products.
Return to Quito. Dinner not included. Overnight in Quito.
Day 6 Transfer Out
