Quito: Choco Cloud Forest and Mindo Day Trip｜Ecuador

08:00 we will pick you up from your hotel. After 1 hour 20 minutes we visit the Pahuma Cloud Forest Reserve, located at an altitude of 6,500 feet. Follow a path that leads to waterfalls, where fresh crystal-clear water flows from the Andes. Along the way, learn about the most important plants in this biodiverse environment.

Next, visit the Cotingas Reserve, home to the most colorful hummingbirds of the northwestern Andes, part of the Choco Region. Spot species like: the Velvet Purple Coronet, Violet-tailed Sylph, Empress Brilliant, Racket Tails, and Coronets, all living freely in the wild. Thanks to the abundance of flowers and nectar, you can see these birds up close.

In the afternoon, we will have some time for lunch and then we will learn why chocolate is so famous in Ecuador including a chocolate tasting.
