Product Info

Begin your tour in Bijagua de Upala, a lush green area where it rains almost year-round. Start with a local traditional coffee and chocolate tour, where you will learn about the production process and enjoy real, natural coffee and chocolate tastings. This first activity lasts about one hour.

Afterwards, take a short drive to the second location for a guided nature walk in the rainforest. During this easy walk (about one hour), look for wildlife such as sloths, frogs, birds, insects, and snakes. The forest is full of colorful flowers, butterflies, plants, and perfect spots for beautiful photos and memories.

Finally, finish the day with a local restaurant, where you will enjoy a traditional Costa Rican lunch called “Casado,” which includes rice, black beans, salad, plantains, and a choice of protein such as chicken, beef, pork, or fish.

The restaurant is located next to a butterfly garden, where you can enjoy birds and butterflies all around you — a true Costa Rican cultural and nature experience.
