Product Info

Escape the city and spend a full day riding through the open landscapes of the Argentine Pampas. This countryside horseback experience near Carlos Keen is designed for riders who want more than a short tourist ride: real trails, Criollo horses, gaucho culture, and a traditional Argentine lunch.

Begin at a stud farm bordering the charming town of Carlos Keen. Meet your hosts, Marcelo and Pablo, then head to the neighboring meadow to bring in the Criollo horses. Learn about traditional gaucho riding equipment before dressing and saddling your horse with guidance from your hosts.

Once ready, set off across the Pampas. Ride along quiet dirt roads bordered by wheat fields, soy farms, cattle ranches, stud farms, and estancias. Pass through a peaceful acacia forest and wide rural meadows while adapting the pace to your level. Depending on your comfort, enjoy walking, trotting, or galloping.

After around two hours of riding, stop at Marcelo’s countryside cottage for lunch. Share a traditional Argentine meal with local flavors including asado, dessert, Malbec red wine, and the chance to try mate in a relaxed rural setting.

In the afternoon, return to your horse and continue toward the old center of Carlos Keen. Ride through meadows where large herds of cows graze before making your way back to the stud farm. End the day with one final gallop if you feel confident and conditions allow.

This is a full Pampas riding day for travelers who want authentic countryside, horses, food, and gaucho traditions in one memorable experience.
