Here is the seamless, narrative version of the copy. I have removed the subtitles and smoothed the transitions so it flows naturally as one cohesive story.

Step back in time and discover Puerto Rico’s rich history through its incredible food on our Secret Food Tour: San Juan. For over 500 years, this vibrant city has been the gateway to the Caribbean, where Spanish, African, and indigenous Taíno cultures blend to create a cuisine like no other.

Your journey begins in Plaza Colón, located near the majestic Fort San Cristóbal, which once served as the gateway to the old walled city. After meeting your expert local guide, you'll set off through the blue-cobblestone streets of Old San Juan, where every bite tells a story of the island’s colonial past and Caribbean spirit. We begin with a true local staple: the Mallorca. You will enjoy this soft, buttery sweet bread dusted with powdered sugar and perfectly paired with the tropical sweetness of guava. To complement your pastry, you’ll sip on a specialty Cortado made with coffee grown and roasted in Puerto Rico’s lush mountain regions—the perfect fuel for our historic walk.

As we dive deeper into the city's heritage, you will discover that no tour is complete without the national dish. You’ll savor an incredible Mofongo—fried green plantains mashed with garlic and olive oil—generously stuffed with seasoned chicken. You’ll also taste a pillar of Puerto Rican tradition: Pasteles de Cerdo. Made from a "masa" of green plantains and root vegetables and filled with savory stewed pork, these are traditionally steamed in a banana leaf for a deep, authentic flavor.

The adventure continues with the ultimate "on-the-go" island snack: a crispy, artisanal Empanadilla, made fresh daily and bursting with traditional savory flavors. We finish our journey on a luxurious note with an artisanal Chocolate Bombom, highlighting Puerto Rico’s premium cacao and the fine craft of the island's top chocolatiers.

As with all our experiences, there is a Secret Dish revealed only during the tour to add a final touch of mystery and magic to your San Juan adventure. Come hungry and leave with a deeper connection to Puerto Rico’s people, flavors, and centuries-old culinary story.
