For a focused introduction, join the Forbidden City half-day group tour. Follow an English-speaking guide through monumental gates, ceremonial courtyards and major palace areas while learning how emperors governed, lived and performed court rituals.

For a fuller journey through imperial Beijing, select the Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City and Temple of Heaven group tour. Begin in China’s vast civic square, continue into the former imperial palace, then travel by shared air-conditioned coach to the Temple of Heaven. Discover how public power, palace life and royal ritual shaped three contrasting spaces. This option ends near the Temple of Heaven East Gate.

To combine the palace with the Great Wall, choose a private Forbidden City and Mutianyu option. Receive pickup from an eligible central Beijing hotel, visit the Forbidden City and Treasure Gallery, enjoy a Chinese lunch, and continue by private vehicle to Mutianyu. The included return cable car leaves more time for walking between watchtowers and enjoying the mountain views.
