Your Hassle-Free Experience
We’ve made your pickup effortless, no matter where you start:

From Zhengzhou or Xi’an: A dedicated private driver will greet you in your hotel lobby and ensure a smooth transfer to meet your expert local guide in Luoyang. (Xi’an guests will enjoy a comfortable bullet train ride before being personally welcomed at the arrival gate by your Luoyang guide and driver).

From Luoyang: Your guide and driver will be waiting to greet you together at your downtown hotel or directly at Luoyang Railway Station.

At the end of this enriching day, sit back and relax as we return you safely to your hotel—no rush, no navigation worries.

Step into History at Longmen Grottoes
As you travel, your knowledgeable guide will bring the ancient city of Luoyang to life, sharing fascinating tales of the Old Town and the Buddhist legacy that shaped this region.

Upon arrival, hop on an electric bus and begin your exploration on foot. Prepare to be awestruck by the Longmen Grottoes—a UNESCO masterpiece and the finest collection of Chinese stone carving art from the Northern Wei and Tang Dynasties (316–907 AD). Walk among thousands of serene Buddha statues carved into dramatic limestone cliffs stretching over 1 kilometer, and marvel at the intricate sculpting that has survived for centuries.

Enhance your visit: For a truly breathtaking perspective, opt for a tranquil boat cruise along the Yi River (seasonal; available spring–autumn) to capture the sheer scale of the over 2,300 caves and niches from the water.

Unlock the Secrets of Shaolin
After your grotto exploration, enjoy a scenic 1.5-hour private drive to the legendary Shaolin Temple. Along the way, your guide will delve deeper into Zen Buddhist philosophy and its profound influence on Chinese culture.

Upon arrival, you’ll refuel with a delicious local lunch before experiencing the highlight of the afternoon: a thrilling live Kung Fu demonstration performed by the Shaolin monks themselves. Feel the energy and discipline of these martial arts masters as they showcase the skills that have made Shaolin famous worldwide.

Founded in 495 A.D. to house the Indian master Batuo, Shaolin Temple is globally revered as the birthplace of Zen Buddhism and the cradle of Chinese Kung Fu. Walk through the ancient halls and pagoda forest, soaking in the spiritual atmosphere where martial arts and meditation intertwine.

Traveler’s Notes (Please Read)

Kung Fu Show: Admission includes the martial arts performance. Please note that this show is incredibly popular—during peak seasons and weekends, the theater gets very crowded. We recommend arriving early to secure a seat, though standing room may be the only option during busy times.

Peony Festival (April): Luoyang is world-famous for its stunning peonies. If you are traveling in April, please be prepared for peak crowds at all attractions. While the flowers are spectacular, the sites will be exceptionally busy.
