－ Attraction Introduction －
・Mutianyu Great Wall
Located in Mutianyu Village, Bohai Town, Huairou District, Beijing, 73 km from downtown Beijing, the Mutianyu Great Wall is known as the 'unique beauty of the Great Wall'. With a total length of 5,400 meters, it is the longest section of the Great Wall in China and one of the sixteen scenic spots in Beijing. Built in the first year of the Hongwu reign of the Ming Dynasty (1368) under the supervision of General Xu Da, a subordinate of Zhu Yuanzhang, on the ruins of the Northern Qi Great Wall, the Mutianyu section is the essence of the Ming Dynasty Great Wall. Connecting Gubeikou in the east and Juyongguan in the west, it has been a military stronghold guarding the capital since ancient times. It features attractions such as the Zhengguantai, Dajiaolou, and Yingfeidaoyang. The wall remains intact, well-reflecting the ancient charm of the Great Wall and holding profound historical and cultural value.
