Learn the basics of whitewater canoeing in a progressive, controlled, and safe environment.

This course is for duos who want to experience the river while developing their coordination and reading of the water.

With guidance from an experienced instructor, you'll learn to:

Read the currents and understand the flow

Choose a safe descent line

Cross currents (ferries)

Perform current recoveries and exits

Adjust your maneuvers according to the water's movements

Work together to stay in control

You'll navigate moderate and accessible sections of the river, perfect for experiencing the thrill of whitewater without excessive pressure.

This course is recommended for people who have already taken a calm water introductory course or have a good foundation in tandem canoeing.
