Japan’s Alpine Heritage Hub Often referred to as the “Little Kyoto of the North,” Takayama in Gifu Prefecture captivates with its Edo-era streets such as Sannomachi, adorned with wooden merchant houses and sake breweries. Taste Hida beef, a succulent, top-quality meat served grilled or in ramen, and wander through Miyagawa Morning Market for fresh produce and handicrafts. Historic landmarks like Takayama Jinya (a preserved 17th-century government office) provide cultural richness, merging tradition with gastronomic delights.

A Fairytale village, listed as UNESCO World Heritage, Shirakawa-go’s gassho-zukuri farmhouses (prayer-hand roofs) exhibit ancient architecture. The tour guide will hold a yellow flag at the meeting point. Simply tell the tour guide the name you used when booking, and you'll be able to join. Please arrive 15 minutes early.(5-10 Tsubakichō, Nakamura-ku, Nagoya-shi, Aichi-ken 453-0015)

  • Know in advance:The night before your trip, you'll receive an email regarding important information, such as the phone number of the tour guide and the licence plate number of the car. Please make sure that your email and mobile phone you provide while booking can be reached

  • Weekend and holiday traffic in Japan may delay the return time past 09.00 pm. The local operator covers overtime fees for the guide and driver. To avoid issues, please don't schedule activities or transport afterward. Attraction times may also be shortened, adjusted, or cancelled

  • Each participant can carry 1 luggage. If you need to carry more luggage, please make a note when booking, by using the additional comments field
