Since 2009, the village has been a part of UNESCO Cu Lao Cham-Hoi as a biosphere reserve, which fosters a harmonious blending of people and nature for sustainable development. Remember to read the traveler's guide for the basket boat ride - the best thing to do in the village and a must of any trip that takes place to this side of the city.

The tour starts with pickup from Hoi An or Da Nang in the morning or afternoon and a first stop at Cam Thanh fishing village, where you will meet local fishermen and learn about their daily life. Next, take a bamboo basket boat from Cam Thanh forest and enjoy a brief historical introduction. After that, join the local fishermen on the river and have fun during a hands-on fishing experience. After a welcome drink with local lunch at a fisherman's house, you'll return to your hotel.
