- You'll fall in love with Lanzarote after this half-day tour of the north as you criss-cross landscapes dotted with whitewashed villages, volcanoes and palm trees. After a stop at Teguise to take in panoramic views, you'll head to the Jameos del Agua volcanic cave, complete with natural underground lagoon where you can keep an eye out for native albino crabs. Then, it's on to see the Green Caves, or Cueva de los Verdes. This ancient cave system was formed up to 5,000 years ago when La Corona Volcano erupted, creating a vast tunnel from lava flows. Cesar Manrique helped to redesign the caves for visitors in the 60s and you'll find his subtle lighting gives the place an otherworldly feel.
