Discover the Beatus Caves, perched above Lake Thun, and explore one of Switzerland’s most impressive cave systems. Start your visit at the cave museum, where an audio guide provides fascinating insights into the geology, scientific research, and discoveries associated with the caves.

The cave itself can be explored individually, with 25 informative panels in German and English along the route, or via the free “Saint Beatus” app. The roughly one-hour circuit takes you over 297 steps and ascends 87 meters, leading you through dramatic grottos, ravines, and cavernous halls. Marvel at stunning stalactite formations, flowing streams, and cascading waterfalls.

Paths and stairways are consistently damp, and the cave maintains a steady temperature between 8 and 10°C, creating a true underground adventure.
