Day 1 : Arrival in Bodhgaya & Mahabodhi Temple Exploration.
Arrive in Bodhgaya via Gaya Airport, railway station or your preferred pickup point and transfer to the hotel for check-in. In the afternoon, begin sightseeing with the UNESCO-listed Mahabodhi Temple Complex, the sacred site where Lord Buddha attained enlightenment under the Bodhi Tree.
Explore the temple complex, meditation areas and surrounding sacred monuments while learning about the significance of Buddhism’s holiest pilgrimage destination. Later visit the giant 80-foot Buddha Statue and continue exploring peaceful international monasteries including Thai, Japanese and Bhutanese temples showcasing unique Buddhist architecture and traditions. Overnight stay in Bodhgaya.
Day 2 : A Day Trip of Rajgir and Nalanda From Bodhgaya.
After breakfast, drive towards Rajgir, the ancient capital of the Magadha Empire and an important destination connected with Lord Buddha. Ride the ropeway to Vishwa Shanti Stupa located on Gridhakuta Hill, also known as Vulture’s Peak, where Buddha delivered many important teachings.
Continue to Venuvana, the peaceful bamboo grove monastery gifted to Buddha by King Bimbisara. Later proceed to Nalanda University ruins, one of the world’s oldest residential universities and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore ancient monastery ruins, lecture halls, temples and the archaeological museum displaying Buddhist sculptures and artefacts. Return to Bodhgaya in the evening. Overnight stay in Bodhgaya.
Day 3 : Bodhgaya To Varanasi via Sarnath.
Depart Bodhgaya in the morning and drive towards Varanasi. Upon arrival, continue to Sarnath, the sacred Buddhist site where Lord Buddha delivered his first sermon after enlightenment.
Visit the massive Dhamek Stupa, Chaukhandi Stupa, monastery ruins and the Sarnath Museum housing the famous Lion Capital of Ashoka, India’s national emblem. In the evening, head towards the ghats of Varanasi and enjoy a private boat ride on the River Ganges while witnessing the spectacular Ganga Aarti ceremony at Dashashwamedh Ghat featuring devotional chants, lamps and spiritual rituals. Overnight stay in Varanasi.
Day 4 : Sunrise Boat Ride & Departure.
Early in the morning, experience a sunrise boat ride on the River Ganges while observing pilgrims performing rituals, morning prayers and traditional ceremonies along the ghats of Varanasi. Witness the spiritual atmosphere of the city as the riverfront comes alive during sunrise.
Later enjoy a guided walk through the narrow lanes of Old Varanasi passing traditional markets, temples and historic neighborhoods near the Kashi Vishwanath Temple corridor. Return to the hotel for breakfast and check-out. Transfer to Varanasi Airport, Railway Station or your preferred drop-off location with marking the end of this tour.
