Located on the Minjiang River west of Dujiangyan City, it was built around 256 BC by Li Bing, the governor of Shu County in the Qin State, and his son. It is currently the best-preserved ancient water conservancy project in China. The project consists of three main structures: the Fish Mouth Diversion Dam, the Feisha Weir Spillway, and the Baopingkou Intake, as well as auxiliary structures such as the Baizhang Dam and the Renzi Dam. It divides the turbulent Minjiang River into the outer river and the inner river. The outer river discharges floodwaters, while the inner river diverts water for irrigation, turning the western Sichuan Plain into the "Land of Abundance". 【Qingcheng Mountain Front Scenic Area】 Qingcheng Mountain is the main scenic area of the Qingcheng Mountain-Dujiangyan World Cultural Heritage Site, a national key cultural relics protection unit, a national key scenic spot, a national AAAAA-level tourist attraction, a sacred site of the Quanzhen Longmen School, one of the Ten Great Grotto-Heavens, one of the Four Great Taoist Mountains in China, one of the Five Great Immortal Mountains, and one of the Ten Scenic Spots of Chengdu. Located southwest of Dujiangyan City, Chengdu, Sichuan Province, it is 68 kilometers east of downtown Chengdu and 10 kilometers southwest of the Dujiangyan Irrigation System. The scenic area covers 200 square kilometers, with its highest peak, Laojun Pavilion, reaching an altitude of 1260 meters. Surrounded by undulating peaks and lush, verdant forests, it enjoys the reputation of "Qingcheng, the most secluded place under heaven."
