As the water and the images resonate with each other, the greenery of the garden and memories of nature overlap with the cherry blossoms, enveloping you in the flow of time that has lived in this castle.
Ninomaru Palace, a National Treasure | We will be holding a special nighttime viewing of the Ninomaru Palace, shrouded in tranquility. The "authentic beauty" of the original handicrafts, such as the gold-painted screen paintings and architectural designs, will be displayed in a different light than during the day, allowing you to experience the depth and tension of this historic space even more deeply. Experience the unique charm of nighttime views of this prestigious space, including the Great Hall, which was used as a venue for official meetings and is known for being the place where Tokugawa Yoshinobu declared his intention to return power to the Emperor.
Purchase Notice
- The castle admission fee includes admission to the Ninomaru Palace.
- Tickets for the immersive theater "Castle Theater" can be purchased from the "Castle Theater Tickets" page on the website.
- *Same-day tickets will be sold at the venue, but if you purchase a same-day ticket through the online play guide, you will be able to enter without waiting.
- Admission may be restricted depending on the congestion at the venue.
- For the special dates of April 4th (Sat), April 5th (Sun), and April 11th (Sat), please purchase a "special date ticket" by specifying the date. Any other tickets will not allow you to enter the castle.
- Purchased tickets cannot be cancelled or refunded, except in cases where the event is cancelled due to the organizer's circumstances. For details, please check the terms and conditions of the ticket agency where you purchased your ticket.
- Disability discount tickets are available to those who hold a physical disability certificate, rehabilitation certificate, mental disability certificate, Mirairo ID, etc., and up to one caregiver. Please show the above certificate at the entrance ticket gate.
- Preschool children are admitted free.
- The final entrance to this event is at 9:00 PM. (The final entrance to Ninomaru Palace is at 9:10 PM.) Depending on the queue situation, reception may close before 9:00 PM. In that case, you will not be able to enter even if you have an admission ticket. Thank you for your understanding.
- Nijo Castle admission certificates (such as the World Heritage Nijo Castle Ownership Fund benefit or Kyoto City Annual Pass) will not be accepted for admission.
- Friday-Sunday and special day tickets will also allow you to enter on weekdays, but the difference in price will not be refunded.
- The viewing route is different from that during the day.
- Please refrain from using monopods or tripods within the grounds. Photography is not permitted inside the Ninomaru Palace.
- Pets are not allowed.
