The course mainly consists of boardwalks, so it is recommended for families with children and those who are not confident in their physical strength ♪ Enjoy the leisurely pace of Kirigamine while feeling the scenery, plants and flowers that change with the seasons, and the various creatures that inhabit it. Recommended for solo travelers as well as families and friends. ~Flow of the experience~ ①Meeting and insurance procedures We will be waiting for you in front of the Yashima Visitor Center. Please use the restroom before gathering. After meeting with the guide, please fill out the insurance registration form. ②Departure We will move to the Yashima Marsh plaza (entrance) and the tour will begin ③Yashima Pond A popular spot that represents Yashima Marsh. ④Yashima Marsh viewpoint As you proceed along the boardwalk, you will feel the vastness of the marsh even more. ⑤Kama Pond Kamagaike Pond is one of the three ponds in Yashima Marsh. The view from between the trees has a different atmosphere from the other ponds. This tour will take you on a walk through Yashima Wetland, guiding you through its formation, the diverse range of wildlife that inhabits it, and the history of the relationship between Kirigamine and people, from various perspectives.

The course mainly consists of wooden walkways with few inclines or declines, making it perfect for those who are not confident in their physical fitness or those with small children. It is a nature trail that is easy to walk even on rainy days.

Yashima Marshland is full of charm in every season. In spring, new buds color the mountainside and the chorus of Schlegel's tree frogs echoes through the air. (Ministry of the Environment's "100 Soundscapes of Japan to Preserve") In summer, flowers such as Rhododendron molle and Hemerocallis middendorffii bloom, and it becomes a lively season with summer birds and butterflies fluttering about. In autumn, when the sky is a clear blue and the grasses turn red, willowherb and scabiosa add color, and the courtship calls of stags can be heard from beyond the shimmering silver pampas grass. Eventually, when sub-zero temperatures continue, the marshland is enveloped in a world of snow and ice, and the footprints left in the snow spark the imagination of the animals that survive the harsh winter.
