- We will hold a special performance by Kanazawa Geigi titled 'Dance of the Kanazawa Geigi' at the Ishikawa Prefectural Noh Theater Annex (right next to Kenrokuen Garden). Kanazawa is home to three famous teahouse districts—Higashi Chaya, Nishi Chaya, and Kazue-machi Chaya—where historic townscapes are carefully preserved, each offering its own unique charm and popularity as a tourist destination. Each district is home to 'Kanazawa Geigi' who carry on the teahouse culture from the feudal era. While they are usually only accessible to regular guests, making it difficult to interact with them, this event is a special performance where you can enjoy Japanese dance, traditional music (shamisen and flute), and ozashiki drums performed by the Geigi, as well as experience 'ozashiki' parlor games that can usually only be played at teahouses. This is a chance to easily and closely enjoy the traditional performing arts that Ishikawa and Kanazawa are proud of, so please join us if you are interested! *The venue is tatami-floored, allowing you to feel an atmosphere closer to that of an authentic 'ozashiki'.

Developed as the cultural hub of Kanazawa, this area features the National Crafts Museum, the Ishikawa Prefectural Museum of Art, the Ishikawa Prefectural Museum of History, Kenrokuen Garden, and Kanazawa Castle Park.
