Product Info

  • Tombodama are glass beads with a hole in the center. Colored glass rods are melted over a burner and wrapped around an iron rod to create round glass beads with colorful patterns. It's an exciting experience, just like making kneaded candy! The finished tombodama can be made into a strap or pendant to take home on the day.
  • Shiny, candy-like glass beads
  • You can express a free world inside a small, round glass ball. The finished product is so beautiful you'll be mesmerized! This plan allows you to make two glass beads. You will use a burner, but the instructor will provide solid support, so even elementary school students can enjoy it. The process is simple, but the craft is deep. Feel free to take it home as soon as it cools!
  • Glass blowing, sandblasting, and baby handprints
  • We offer a variety of activities, including "glassblowing," where you blow life into molten glass; sandblasting, where you carve pictures or letters into cups, small bowls, or plates with sand; and a plan where you can leave baby's handprints or footprints in a glass mold. All of these activities are easy to complete, taking between 30 minutes and an hour and a half, so you can come and visit us during your free time on your trip. The instructor is a professional glass artist who has held solo exhibitions around the country and also creates lace trophies. You can create whatever you like after consulting with us.
  • A workshop surrounded by greenery, an hour's drive from the city center
  • Our studio is located in a quiet area surrounded by greenery, about an hour's drive from Tokyo. On clear days, you can see Mount Fuji. Blown glass stretches, expands, and distorts...the excitement of gradually giving shape to your image and the sense of accomplishment when it's finished are indescribable. Molten glass is also incredibly beautiful. As it is a private studio, you can almost have the studio to yourself for the experience. Feel free to come and create memories with your family, as a couple, or in a group.
