Located on Kiyamachi Street near the Kamo River in Shijo Kawaramachi, Kyoto, "Oden Kappo Kanaya" offers kappo cuisine using seasonal seafood and Kyoto vegetables, as well as its unique oden, which focuses on the deliciousness of the broth. A wide variety of seasonal specialties such as fresh sashimi and charcoal-grilled dishes are also available. The Japanese-style setting is suitable for a wide range of occasions, from business meetings and dinners to anniversaries and meals during Kyoto sightseeing. Kanaya's oden is based on the traditional Kanazawa oden of the Hokuriku region, and combines it with the delicate sensibility and seasonal flavors of Kyoto. The dishes are luxuriously decorated with fresh seafood such as sea bream, scallops, and crab. There are also elaborate oden dishes with ingredients such as salmon roe and soft-boiled eggs.
