Whether you're a beginner or an experienced mountaineer, this tour offers the chance to enjoy the stunning alpine scenery and the unforgettable feeling of reaching a 4,000-meter summit. The Breithorn features five peaks: Breithorn Occidentale (4,164 m), Breithorn Centrale (4,159 m), Breithorn Zwillinge, and Schwarzfluh (4,075 m). This ridge stretches from west to east, with Breithorn Occidentale being the highest and easiest to climb. Youāll meet your guide and fellow participants at the Matterhorn Express valley station. Tours begin at 07:30 in summer and 08:15 in winter. Please ensure you have the appropriate equipmentāeither your own or rented in Zermatt. Ski touring equipment is required during the winter season. Following the classic Breithorn route, your guide will lead you across varied alpine terrain, including the Breithorn Pass and Breithorn Plateau, both situated above 3,000 meters. Along the way, youāll pass Europeās highest ski slope. In winter, the tour concludes with a scenic ski descent via the Schwarztor.
