- Tour Introduction -

Lok Kawi Wildlife Park officially opened to the public on February 17, 2007. Located approximately 20 kilometers southwest of the capital, Kota Kinabalu, the park can be reached via the old Papar-Penampang Road or the Putatan-Papar Road. Due to limited public transportation, most international travelers choose to join a KKday day tour.

Developed by the Sabah Wildlife Department, the park consists of two sections: the zoo and the botanical garden. In the botanical garden, visitors can walk along a 1.4-kilometer trail through the tropical jungle to learn about botanical history, with half of the route currently open to the public for leisure.

At the zoo, you can watch tigers, gaze at gibbons, and see iconic Sabah animals like proboscis monkeys and sun bears. This is not Animal Planet, but the Lok Kawi Wildlife Park—the perfect destination for families and couples alike.
