Powered paragliding is a personal recreational flight activity that uses an engine to fly in the sky, combining a paraglider with a motorized unit. Throughout the activity, an instructor will accompany the participant, controlling the direction while the participant simply enjoys the stunning aerial views.
Due to factors such as weather and wind direction, the feasibility of the flight and the specific takeoff location can only be confirmed before 9:00 AM on the day of the experience. If the flight cannot proceed due to unfavorable wind conditions, you may choose to reschedule or receive a refund. If it is determined in advance that flights are not possible, we will contact you to arrange a reschedule or refund.
- Session Schedule: Morning sessions & Afternoon sessions. Available times include 10:00, 11:00, 13:00, 14:00, and 15:00. We will confirm the meeting time with you before 9:00 AM on the day of the activity.
- Location: Takeoff locations are typically, but not limited to, the following areas: Nakagusuku (Nakagusuku Mall), Uruma City (Uruma City Kaichu-doro), or Yomitan Village (Momenbaru Beach). These areas are approximately 40-60 minutes by car from Naha City. The exact location will be adjusted based on the day's wind direction, and we will confirm the meeting point with you before 9:00 AM on the day of the activity.
- Duration: Total time is about 1 hour; flight time is approximately 10 minutes.

ー FAQ ー
Q: How safe is paragliding?
A: Paragliding has evolved over 30 years with multiple technological advancements and a comprehensive set of testing and inspection standards. If the wing folds due to turbulence, it can automatically recover within seconds. The seat is equipped with a 15cm thick foam cushion or a 30cm thick airbag, and there is a reserve parachute as a final safety measure. It is safe to say that modern paragliding equipment is highly mature and secure.
Q: I saw others flying very high, but the instructor didn't take me that high. Why is that?
A: A paraglider is an unpowered aircraft and cannot climb at will like an airplane. It relies on rising thermal currents to gain altitude. These thermal currents are intermittent, and each one varies in diameter, ascent speed, and peak height. Those who fly particularly high are lucky enough to catch a strong thermal current. Therefore, even if the instructor wants to fly high, the altitude of each flight is unpredictable.
Q: Do I need to cooperate with the instructor?
A: The takeoff phase is the only part where you must cooperate with the instructor. First, you must wear shoes suitable for running. When the instructor behind you says 'run, run, run,' you must run forward with long strides until your feet leave the ground and you pass the takeoff boundary. Sometimes passengers are scared and don't run, ending up sitting on the ground. Other times, due to strong winds during inflation, the passenger's feet might lift off momentarily, leading them to sit down, only to touch the ground again shortly after. Both situations must be avoided because if the passenger sits down and stops running, the instructor cannot drag them, and the takeoff will fail. At best, both will fall to the ground; at worst, you could roll down the slope for several meters. Please remember to keep your feet pointing downward as much as possible during takeoff. Even if you are momentarily airborne, be prepared to touch the ground and run again until you have cleared the takeoff boundary!
Q: Can I bring a camera or phone to take photos myself?
A: It is strongly discouraged to bring your own camera for photos or videos, as it may be damaged due to falls or other reasons. If you must shoot, you may use a mobile phone (with your own selfie stick), but please ensure the device is secured to the harness with a strap or hung around your neck. The club is not responsible for any damage or loss.
