－ Trip Introduction －
Shomon Island is located at the northern tip of Xiyu and covers an area of only 0.5 square kilometers. It is connected to the main island by an arch bridge, which locals call the 'McDonald's Bridge.' The geological and topographical features of Shomon Island are a microcosm of the Penghu archipelago, often referred to as a living geography classroom. The most unique sea erosion feature is 'Whale Cave' on the north side of the island. Originally a basalt sea cliff, it was eroded by the sea over time, eventually piercing through to form a sea arch that looks like a whale stranded on the beach. Standing inside the cave, you can hear the roaring sound of the waves, which is both refreshing and invigorating.
From the perspective of a kayak on the sea, take in the geology of the Penghu islands. Bathe in the shimmering sunset glow with a relaxed, wandering heart, and add a stunning highlight to your trip.
Do your part for the marine ecosystem; if you see marine debris during the experience, please help us pick it up so we can protect the beauty of the ocean together.

After launching from the beach, pass by the harbor area and McDonald's Bridge, then head to Houhu Bay, Zicai Reef, and the lighthouse area to view the magnificent basalt, and finally wait for the sunset at Tianwei Bay! - Kayak Sunset Island Circumnavigation:
- After launching from the beach, depending on the day's tides, you will circumnavigate Shomon Island in a clockwise or counter-clockwise direction. Anchor outside Whale Cave to enjoy afternoon tea, and on the return trip, watch the beautiful sunset from the lighthouse, bay, or harbor area!

The instructor will prioritize safety based on the sea conditions and weather conditions of the day and will inform you of changes or cancellations at 20:00 the day before the experience.
If the experience is cancelled due to weather conditions, a full refund will be given.
The conditions in open water vary, so you need to wear a life jacket at all times and follow the instructor's instructions.
In order to cooperate with environmental protection and reduce plastic, drinking water will be provided. Please bring your own container.
Penghu is sunny in summer, so please take precautions. To avoid damaging the coral reef ecology, it is recommended not to apply sunscreen.
If you are prone to seasickness, please bring your own seasickness medicine.
You can do simple washing on site, but no toiletries are provided, so please bring your own.

- Cancellations 3 day(s) (inclusive) before the selected date are allowed. Unused orders can be canceled for free
- Cancellation is not allowed between 0–2 days from the selected date. Orders cannot be canceled or modified, and refunds will not be granted.
- Due to time zone differences, the confirmed cancellation date is based on the supplier’s local time. Please allow 2–5 business days to process your cancellation request, after which the cancellation fee will be charged according to the product’s cancellation policy.
