Unearth Australia's third-largest island on an adventure tour from Adelaide. Kangaroo Island, or "nature's playground" as it is commonly known, is famed for its plentiful wildlife from the land, sea and sky, as well as its untamed landscapes, white sandy beaches, and friendly locals. Awaken your senses as you experience moments in nature you will never forget. Visit the icons, such as Flinders Chase National Park and Seal Bay. Ignite your taste buds during honey and wine tasting, and participate in meaningful conservation work. Embark on magical hikes, snorkel in turquoise waters and sleep under the billions of stars of southern skies.
Take a scenic coastal drive to Pennington Bay on the island’s south coast
Featuring private access to one of Kangaroo Island’s most stunning beaches – Antechamber Bay, you’ll be right at home here for the next two nights.
This 2,000-hectare wilderness sanctuary is a haven for native wildlife such as koalas, kangaroos, possums, echidnas, reptiles and birdlife.

- To get the most from our Kangaroo Island adventure tours, you need to enjoy the outdoors and hiking and be able to cope with extreme weather conditions
- A moderate fitness level is required, and you need to be prepared for walks between 2-5 kilometres on some days. This may involve rough ground and perhaps getting wet
- Please advise of any special dietary requirements when you book. We offer plenty of variety and do our best to provide fresh products. Snacks, soft drinks and alcohol are not included
- This tour requires a minimum of six people to operate. In the unlikely event your departure is cancelled because minimum numbers have not been met, we will refund your tour price in full
- Camping is at a private bushland property called “Happiness” at Antechamber Bay
- The property also has a camp kitchen, bathroom and lounge facilities. It is also only a 10-minute wander down a bush track to a magical beach
- In wet weather, we can put the swags in a sheltered area on the verandah and have access to indoor facilities to use
- When camping, we use single swags. Swags are ‘Aussie Bed Rolls’ made from sturdy canvas with a mattress built into the swag. Passengers must provide a sleeping bag and pillow to insert into the swag
- This is a camping tour, and involvement from the passengers is required. This can include helping with meals and packing up camp
- It is recommended children under 12 years do not travel on the Adventures to Awaken swag camping tours due to the adventure-based activities in the itineraries. Passengers on our Retreats Reimagined need to be 15 years or above

Bags are restricted to 1 × 15 kg backpack/soft travel bag per person, plus one small piece of hand luggage.
Weather conditions in Australia can change quickly, and our experienced guides will always put the safety of our passengers first and stay abreast of weather conditions.
Itinerary changes may occur to ensure we provide the best possible experience. For example, if it is wet or cold, your Guide may change the beach and outdoor activities with indoor food and wine experiences. Any itinerary changes will be communicated to the group in advance

Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations 32 day(s) (inclusive) before the selected date are allowed. Unused orders can be canceled for free
- Cancellation is not allowed between 0–31 days from the selected date. Orders cannot be canceled or modified, and refunds will not be granted.
- Due to time zone differences, the confirmed cancellation date is based on the supplier’s local time. Please allow 2–5 business days to process your cancellation request, after which the cancellation fee will be charged according to the product’s cancellation policy. Once your refund request is confirmed, KKday will initiate the refund to your original payment method within 15 days. The actual refund timing depends on your card-issuing bank’s policy.
