- Plan Introduction -
The '御座船安宅丸' (Atakemaru), a vibrant crimson Japanese-style ship that stands out in Kobe Port (capacity: 500 passengers), is modeled after the massive ship 'Atakemaru' built by the order of Iemitsu, the third Shogun of the Edo Shogunate. It was renovated in 2017 under the supervision of Okayama-born industrial designer Eiji Mitooka. The interior, which features non-reserved seating throughout, is a luxurious and elegant space decorated with colorful sliding door paintings, Japanese umbrellas, and ceiling art, combining styles from the past and present in a mandala-like fashion.
One of the largest two-story excursion ships in the Kansai region (capacity: 500 passengers). The third floor is an open-air sky deck, offering a 360-degree panoramic view of the Kobe cityscape with Mount Rokko in the background. On the Royal Princess, you can also experience the thrill of passing under the 'Kobe Ohashi Bridge' on every voyage. The Kobe Ohashi Bridge is a red, double-deck steel bridge connecting the Port Terminal to Port Island, the world's first man-made island. It is illuminated at night, and recently, the third-floor sky deck has become a popular spot on social media where many guests capture magnificent and magical videos along with the scenery of Kobe.
