Located at the foot of Mt. Fuji, the Aokigahara Jukai forest was formed on lava flows from a volcanic eruption 1,200 years ago.
During the walk, you can observe the plants living in this mysterious forest and its unique environment.
Listen to explanations from a local nature guide with years of experience and make discoveries you would normally overlook!
If you love adventure, you must see the world of lava caves at least once. Enjoy extraordinary experiences such as the vast hollows and mysterious ice formations inside the cave, ice stalagmites popping up from the frozen lava, and the sound of water dripping from cracks in the ceiling.
Move forward carefully in the natural lava cave, climb lava walls, and slide on ice... It is full of charm that both children and adults can enjoy like they are kids again! The only light illuminating the pitch-black darkness where sunlight cannot reach is your headlamp. Explore the cave using both your hands and feet.
For this exploration, necessary equipment is provided for free, so you can challenge yourself with ease.
The door to a world you have never known is about to open!
The cave has spacious areas and few difficult sections, so it is open to participants aged 7 and up! Even small children can join the cave exploration and learn about nature in a fun way.
【Eco-tour in Aokigahara Jukai, home to one of the world's largest lava caves】
Although once known as a place for suicides, the Aokigahara Jukai is actually a mysterious and beautiful forest overflowing with life. Trees, moss, mushrooms, deer, squirrels, rabbits... various plants, animals, and insects exist here. The lava caves of the Fuji Jukai are numerous and many are large, which is rare in the world. You can experience things here that you cannot easily see or experience in the city.
【Open to a wide range of ages, from elementary school students to seniors】
The walking trails in the Jukai are wide and well-maintained. The inside of the cave is not narrow, and we ensure safety by having participants wear helmets, headlamps, and gloves. We recommend this for family trips with children, graduation trips with friends, or company training trips.
【Learn various things while walking!】
Our guides are knowledgeable and have been active in the local area for many years. They will explain what you encounter while walking through the Jukai. Beyond just talking about plants and animals, they provide a wide range of practical knowledge, including environmental conservation, forest survival rules, evacuation methods, and how to walk on rocky terrain.
